Wolves preparing £20m offer for Divock Origi
After managing just 12 goals in 12 games following their return to the Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly preparing a £20 million offer for Liverpool forward Divock Origi, the Daily Star report.
Origi has failed to break into the first-team picture this season at Anfield, managing just two appearances off the bench in the Reds’ Champions League fixtures with Napoli and Red Star Belgrade.
The Belgian international spent last season on loan with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and despite getting the game time he needed, could only manage six goals in 36 appearances.
And with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice front three, Origi has been left either on the bench or out of the squad for the majority of the season.
Wolves’ strikers Raul Jimenez and Leo Bonatini have managed just four goals between them all season, with manager Nuno Espritio Santo placing Origi as one of his top transfer targets in January, and a potential move could possibly benefit all parties involved.
