Jurgen Klopp has asked the FA to reschedule Liverpool’s FA Cup game against Wolves.
The Mirror reports that the Liverpool boss wants the game to be played on Monday, January 7 with the Reds’ game against Manchester City in mind.
The third round of FA Cup games have been scheduled for the first weekend of January, meaning Liverpool face a packed week if the game is not moved.
Jurgen Klopp will take his team to Manchester City on the Thursday night prior to the game, in what could be a fixture that defines this season’s title race.
Both teams are going head-to-head for the Premier League title with City continuing to set an impressive pace at the top of the table.
Liverpool have done brilliantly to keep themselves within touching distance of Pep Guardiola’s side, meaning the fixture against one another could go a long way to deciding where the trophy ends up at the end of the campaign.
