Sadio Mane believes Liverpool’s thrilling 4-3 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday was their biggest victory of the season to date.

The Reds were never at their best against a dangerous Eagles outfit, but they got the job done yet again.

They recovered from a 1-0 half-time deficit to eventually get over the finish line, with Mane making it 4-2 late in the day.

When asked by Liverpoolfc.com if it was the most pivotal three points of 2018/19 so far, Mane said:

100 per cent.

For sure, it was not our best performance but the most important thing for us was the three points. We got them and everybody is happy.

They played very well in the first half. They scored goals, they were very compact and it was difficult for us to pass between the lines.

In the second half, we tried to push with the fans behind us and we scored two quick goals. At 3-2 it became more difficult and then we scored a fourth goal.

It was still a very tough game but [we got] three points.

Liverpool’s win took them to a staggering 60 points from just 23 points, as they continue to outline their title credentials.

Jurgen Klopp’s side still haven’t dropped a single point to a non-top-six team this season, which is a remarkable feat.

They have been tested regularly of late and their mini-break, which sees them take part in a training camp in Dubai, has come at a perfect time.

Next up is the visit of Leicester City on January 30th, before a trip to West Ham five days later.
