Roberto Firmino says he is “never satisfied” in his career, always aiming to improve.
The Brazilian has been a wonderful signing for Liverpool since joining from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015.
Having made a slow start to life at Anfield, he has thrived under Jurgen Klopp and become one of Europe’s most influential attacking players.
Although Firmino is often seen as a laid-back player full of Brazilian flair, particularly due to some of his goal celebrations, there is a steely determination that he also possesses.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the 27-year-old says he is never willing to stand still, improving his game all the time:

I’m very proud but really I don’t want to stop there.
I want to crack on and grow and develop even further and make a name for myself.
I am proud but never satisfied. I always want more, to grow and develop further every day with objectives and targets to achieve.
You have to deserve to score through hard work, running and helping the team. Consequently marvellous things happen.
Firmino is going to be a vital presence as Liverpool look to win the Premier League for the first time this season.
His versatility, team ethic and world-class ability will next be required on Wednesday evening, as Klopp’s men host Leicester City at Anfield.
