Andy Robertson should win the end-of-season Player of the Year awards, according to Tony Cascarino.
The Scot has been a magnificent signing for Liverpool, having arrived from Hull City in the summer of 2017.
Although there was a lukewarm response to his arrival at the time, he has matured into one of Europe’s best left-backs.
Ironically, it was Robertson’s daft foul against Leicester on Wednesday that led to Harry Maguire earning the Foxes a deserved point at Anfield.
That takes nothing away from what a fabulous player the 24-year-old is, however, with so few mistakes on show in the last two seasons.
Although fellow Liverpool pair Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are more likely to scoop the PFA Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year awards, Cascarino wrote in the Times that Robertson would be his pick:

I thought it was significant that the first audible chant of the night from the Liverpool fans was in support of Andy Robertson.
Left backs will rarely get anywhere near contention for the two big player of the year awards but, when I looked back over my teams of the week for The Times this season I noticed Robertson had appeared more than any other player.
Virgil van Dijk, his fellow Liverpool defender, has received plenty of praise but, if Liverpool win the league and Robertson maintains his form until the end of the season, then he must be in with a chance of receiving one of the two main individual honours.
I would give it to him.
The Scotland captain will be hoping to inspire the Reds to a win in their next outing, with Jurgen Klopp’s side travelling to West Ham on Monday evening.
The gap between Liverpool and Manchester City is now five points, as the nerves begin to jangle in the title race.
