Manchester United were beaten 2-0 by French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, with goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe.
During the game, Liverpool star Sadio Mane couldn’t help but join in with the Twitter trolls by uploading a photo to Instagram showing United trailing PSG 0-2, with the caption ‘Hummm’, as cited on the Daily Mail.
Then, minutes later, the 26-year old uploaded a photo of him and manager Jurgen Klopp sharing a laugh together.
Mane later deleted both posts from his Instagram, but with United and Liverpool due to meet in the Premier League at Old Trafford in nine days time, it seems like the Senegalese international wanted to get the first jab in already.
This Premier League game between the two will be Liverpool’s game in hand over title challengers Manchester City, and a victory would put Klopp’s men in an incredibly strong position to win their first ever Premier League title.
