Jessie Lingard and Anthony Martial could both be fit for Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side make the trip to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, in a vital game in the Premier League title race.
Victory for the Reds would put them three points clear of Manchester City at the top, while United also know victory will strengthen their top-four hopes.
It appeared as though Lingard (hamstring) and Martial (groin) would miss the match, having got injured in last Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Mirror claim that the duo may return earlier than expected, however, with their involvement against Liverpool not ruled out.
It would be a huge boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if Lingard and Martial were passed fit in time, with their energy and goal threat much missed when they left the field against PSG.
Klopp will be hoping their return ends up being after his team have taken on their bigger rivals.
