England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to return from injury for his first game since last year’s Champions League semi-final against Roma on Friday.
According to Dominic King of the Daily Mail, the midfielder is set to be playing for the U23 side against Derby’s U23s on Friday.

For Oxlade-Chamberlain, this is a huge moment in his career. Last season he missed his side’s appearance in the Champions League final as well as England’s memorable journey in Russia.
Despite being ever-present for the Reds last season, his side were unable to achieve any silverware.
Following 11 months of rehabilitation, he will now be able to step on the pitch once more. He was joined in his rehabilitation by Rhian Brewster, who has now recovered from a similar injury. The striker has since revealed that Oxlade-Chamberlain helped him in his recovery process.
After the Reds relinquished top spot in the Premier League, his return will come as a boost with Jurgen Klopp a huge admirer of the England international.
He could look to utilise him in the run in from now until the end of the season once he is fully fit.
