Liverpool linked with big-money move for James Rodriguez

Liverpool are interested in a summer move for James Rodriguez, according to El Confidencial, via the Mirror.

The report claims that Real Madrid are willing to sell the Colombian for £70million at the end of the season.

The La Liga giants have announced the signing of Brazil and Porto defender Eder Militao, which means they will have their maximum of three non-EU players next season.

That only heightens the chances of Rodriguez moving on, with returning manager Zinedine Zidane not seeing him as part of his plans.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, where he was powerless to do anything about Liverpool knocking them out of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Manchester United are also believed to be showing an interest in the midfielder, as the two Premier League rivals potentially lock horns.

Bayern have an option to sign Rodriguez this summer, but it doesn’t appear as though they will go through with it.
