Liverpool are one of four Premier League clubs interested in signing Real Betis defender Junior Firpo, according to reports.
The 22-year old left-back had previously been linked with Arsenal and title rivals Manchester City, while a new report from Italian outlet TMW, as cited by Team Talk, claims the Reds and Tottenham have now joined the chase.
Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno appears set to leave Anfield this summer, so Jurgen Klopp is sure to be keen on finding a replacement who can support and challenge Andy Robertson next season.
It is understood that Junior has a release clause of around £43.5million, having penned a new long-term contract last summer.
The Spain youth international hasn’t made many appearances in the past three months, having experienced a number of injury issues.
Meanwhile, Football Espana, who cite ESPN, also suggest that a number of top European club’s are keeping tabs on Junior’s situation. These clubs include Liverpool and Juventus, as well as Real Madrid, per the report.
Other sources have also linked Barcelona with a move for the highly-coveted defender.
