Henderson could miss England game through injury
Jordan Henderson could be ruled out of England’s Euro 2020 qualifier away to Montenegro on Monday night through injury, report Sky Sports.
The Liverpool captain featured prominently for the Three Lions on Friday night, as Gareth Southgate’s side ran out 5-0 winners at home to the Czech Republic.
He will now face a late fitness test ahead of England’s latest assignment, with Southgate unsure about his availability.
Should Henderson end up making the cut, he will win his 50th appearance for his country.
He made his debut back in 2010, starting against France alongside Reds legend Steven Gerrard.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his skipper isn’t risked ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League run-in.
The 28-year-old’s leadership will be vital between now and the end of the season, as well as his underrated quality in the middle of the park.
Klopp’s men host Tottenham in a vital league encounter on Sunday afternoon.
