Liverpool youngster Rafa Camacho has taken an apparent dig at Jurgen Klopp and the Reds’ coaching staff.
The Portuguese has been one of Liverpool U23s’ most important players this season, often showcasing his versatility.
He was handed his first-team debut in the FA Cup defeat at Wolves back in January.
Camacho was the U23s’ star man on Sunday afternoon, bagging a hat-trick as Neil Critchley’s side thumped Leicester City 6-0 in Premier League 2.
While many would have expected the winger to be in good spirits after the game, he seemed to be in a more spiky mood.
Taking to Instagram, Camacho appeared to criticise Klopp and the coaches for their use of him at Liverpool, saying:
I do not know whose idea it is, but I will prove that they are mistaken about my football.
I’m not a right defender, I’m an attacker who scores goals. This is my DNA.
Happy to score 3 goals and help the team in today’s win vs Leicester.
It is not a post that is likely to go down well with Klopp and others at the club, with Camacho’s future already in doubt after contract talks stalled last week.
He now looks even more likely to move on this summer, as he looks for regular first-team football elsewhere.
5 other Liverpool players who are likely to leave this summer
Mignolet has managed two just appearances all season – none in the Premier League – and will look for regular opportunities elsewhere.
Moreno is well behind Andy Robertson in the left-back pecking order and he will almost certainly leave when his contract expires. Barcelona are reportedly keen to sign him.
Jurgen Klopp has always liked Lallana, but persistent injuries and age catching up with him means a summer exit looks probable.
Sturridge hasn’t scored since firing home a stunning equaliser at Chelsea last September, and his time at Anfield is nearing its conclusion.
Wilson has shone on loan at Derby County this season and Liverpool may well listen to offers for his services permanently.
