Liverpool will battle Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United for the signing of Bruno Fernandes.

That’s according to O Jogo, via Sport Witness, who claim the Sporting CP star will be the subject of a summer ‘auction’.

Clubs across Europe are believed to be monitoring the 24-year-old’s progress, following a superb season.

Fernandes has scored 28 goals in 48 appearances in 2018/19 and the Reds reportedly see him as someone who can add another dimension to their attack.

A move to England is looking like an increasing possibility, but Liverpool will have to fight off interest from Chelsea and United to get their man.

The Portugal international has a €100million release clause in his contract, meaning only an enormous bid will mean Sporting definitely have to sell.

Liverpool will believe they are a more attractive proposition than their rivals currently, with Chelsea threatened with a two-window transfer ban and United having to rebuild hugely under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
