Connor Randall has left Liverpool after 17 years at Anfield, the Liverpool Echo have confirmed.
The defender’s contract has reached his expiry date and he has reportedly “said his goodbyes” to those at the club.
Randall will leave on a free transfer this summer, amid interest from Football League and Scottish Premiership clubs.
The 23-year-old never quite managed to make the grade at Anfield, despite appearing eight times for the first team.
He made his debut at home to Bournemouth in the League Cup in October 2015, shortly after Jurgen Klopp’s arrival as Liverpool manager.
Unlike someone such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, that step up to playing regularly for the Reds always looked a stretch too far.
Randall has spent spells on loan at Shrewsbury Town, Hearts and Rochdale in the recent seasons, as well as also previously appearing for England’s U17s.
A dogged player who is versatile enough to thrive in a number of roles, the boyhood Liverpool fan should be able to forge a decent career elsewhere.

Simon Mignolet
It is looking increasingly likely that Mignolet will move on in the summer.
The Belgian wants to be first choice goalkeeper elsewhere, having fallen well behind Alisson in the pecking order.
Nathaniel Clyne
Clyne is currently on loan at Bournemouth and he has no future at Liverpool.
Whether or not the Cherries sign the right-back permanently remains to be seen, but he won’t be at Anfield next season.
Alberto Moreno

Barcelona has shown reported interest, seeing him as a good deputy to Jordi Alba.

A return to Southampton, perhaps?
Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge is a shadow of the player who once shone so bright at Anfield.
The striker has no future at Anfield, bringing an end to six and a half years in a Reds shirt.
