Club Brugge confirm interest in Simon Mignolet
Belgian outfit Club Brugge have emerged as possible contenders to sign wantaway Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
According to the media in Belgium, cited by sports journalist Pete O’Rourke, Club Brugge have confirmed their interest on bringing Mignolet back to Belgium this summer.
The 31-year-old is expected to end his six-year association with the Reds next month and has been linked with three Premier League sides ahead of a summer move.
However, it appears as if the former Sunderland shot-stopper could return to his native Belgium in the summer with Club Brugge.
Mignolet has made over 250 appearances in England, with the Reds valuing the experienced keeper at £15m.
Liverpool’s asking price could be a problem in a possible move back to Belgium for Mignolet, with Club Brugge possibly unwilling to pay the large fee for the 31-year-old.
However, Mignolet, who was forced to watch on from the sidelines as Alisson played every single minute in the league for the Reds, looks certain for an Anfield exit.
