Galatasaray have been in talks with Daniel Sturridge and are preparing to offer the forward a contract.
Sturridge is set to become a free agent at the end of the month upon the expiry of his Liverpool contract.
According to Turkish outlet Aspor, via Inside Futbol, Galatasaray are ready to meet Sturridge’s demands after holding talks with the striker this week.
Liverpool have decided not to offer him a new deal and he will leave the club on a free transfer ahead of next season.
The 29-year-old striker only scored twice in 18 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, whilst scoring once in seven Champions League games.
Aspor claim that Galatasaray are offering Sturridge a three-year contract, which will also include a sign-on fee to persuade him to move to Turkey.
Sturridge joined Liverpool from Chelsea in 2012 and scored 67 goals in 160 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Strikers Liverpool could sign
The 21-year-old striker impressed for Club Brugge in Belgium and could be a good prospect for the future at Anfield.
The German international has been heavily linked with Liverpool in the past and would be a superb addition to the club’s host of attacking talent.
The English forward enjoyed a great season with Bournemouth in the Premier League and would be yet another impressive homegrown player in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Leicester striker is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and has the work rate to fit in with Klopp’s system and how he wants his strikers to play.
