Liverpool have reportedly joined Serie A side Udinese in the battle to sign Besiktas midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz this summer.

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, the Reds are monitoring the player ahead of a possible summer swoop.

The report claims that Udinese recently had an offer of €8m turned down by the Turkish giants for the 23-year-old.

Besiktas value their star man at €10m, with the Turkey international scoring three times and creating four assists in 19 Super Lig appearances last season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp looks set to be busy in the current transfer window, with numerous incomings and outgoings expected at Anfield ahead of the new season.

Another midfielder could be an area Klopp would be keen on adding to, so a move for Tokoz may well be a realistic option.

If the Reds do firm up their interest in Tokoz, the player would more than likely favour a move to Merseyside over Udinese, even if he isn’t guaranteed regular game time.
