Tottenham are reportedly in talks with Liverpool-linked midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to Sky Sports.
The Reds have been tipped to make a move for the Real Madrid star this summer, however, it appears as if Spurs have made the first official attempt to bring the 22-year-old to the Premier League.
The report suggests that Ceballos is keen on a loan move away from the Bernabeu this summer, with a temporary move to Spurs the most likely option.
Liverpool were reportedly interested in signing the player on a permanent basis for a fee around £45 million but could now miss out on the Spaniard ahead of the new season.
Ceballos recently played a starring role for his country in the Under 21 European Championships and still has four years left on his Madrid current.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is thought to be open to the possibility of bringing in a marquee signing this summer if the conditions are right, however, a move for the Real Madrid man now looks unlikely.
