Liverpool target Pepe prioritising PSG move
Liverpool target Nicolas Pepe has reportedly prioritised a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, cited by TEAMtalk, the Ivorian, who looks set to leave current club Lille ahead of the new season, believes he would gain more game time at the Parc des Princes.
The Reds, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, have both been tracking the player ahead of a potential summer switch.
The 24-year-old found the back of the net with ease last season, scoring 23 times in all competitions.
Only Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe scored more in the French top-flight, and the pair could well be teammates next season if the Ligue 1 champions push through a deal.
Jurgen Klopp is thought to be open to the possibility of bringing in a big-money signing this summer, but only if all conditions are right.
It looks unlikely that Pepe will move to Merseyside ahead of the new season, especially following the latest reports from the French media.
