Former Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alberto Lopez has urged Spanish winger Mikel Oyarzabal to consider a summer switch to either Liverpool or Chelsea.
The 22-year-old currently plies his trade with Real Sociedad, however, following an impressive campaign last season, Oyarzabal has been tipped to leave the La Liga side.
Oyarzabal followed up his excellent domestic campaign by helping Spain to Under 21 European Championship glory, featuring in every game for his country.
The winger, who can also play in a central role, has also won two senior caps for Spain.
It is unsure as to whether or not Liverpool have been tracking the player, with Jurgen Klopp open to the possibility of adding to his attacking ranks if the terms are right.
And talking to Marca, cited by Caught Offside, Lopez, who spent the majority of his career with Sociedad, admitted that Oyarzabal is ready for a move away and could be a great fit for Klopp’s side.
I really rate him.
I don’t think he has a lot of time left at Real Sociedad.
He has so much talent and I think he could play in a great team like Chelsea and Liverpool.
Oyarzabal has scored 25 times in the Spanish top-flight over the past two seasons and could well be a shrewd signing by the Reds if they decide to pursue a deal this summer.
