Sancho tipped to join Liverpool this summer by Sky Sports journalist

Liverpool are the front-runners in the race to sign Jadon Sancho this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

There is great interest in the 19-year-old, who is set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with Sancho, but Premier League rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea also believed to be interested, as well as Barcelona.

Writing for Sky Sports, however, Solhekol outlined why he thinks the Reds are front-runners to sign the £108 million-rated forward this summer:

It is difficult to say where Jadon Sancho will be playing next season because so many clubs want him but if I was a betting man, my money would be on Liverpool.

Sancho is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top summer targets and he would find it hard to turn down a move to Anfield if Liverpool end up winning the Champions League as well as the Premier League this season.

Manchester United are confident they can get Sancho in the summer, but they need to qualify for the Champions League first and they don’t have the Klopp factor.

If he was to move to Liverpool, Sancho would be joining a club who are likely to dominate English football for the foreseeable future.

There is no denying Sancho’s enormous potential, not to mention his current brilliance, so he would be a fantastic signing by Liverpool.

Despite his tender years, the England international has outlined his quality in the final third this season, registering 13 goals and assists apiece in just 19 Bundesliga starts.

Sancho would face stiff competition from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, but he is at an age where I think he could accept playing second fiddle to begin with.

That’s not to say he wouldn’t still be a key man, but it could take time for him to adjust to Jurgen Klopp’s playing style, as well as getting used to his pressurised new surroundings.
