Just yesterday, we wrote about how former Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena had urged Jurgen Klopp to sign Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.
Well, if a report from le10sport is accurate then the former Reds’ defender may be about to get his wish as they are reporting that Klopp has personally spoken to the 28-year-old about the possibility of him making a summer switch to Anfield.
However, one huge stumbling block in regards to a deal being completed is the asking price for the Senegalese star as Napoli are apparently asking clubs to stump up a massive £100million if they want to sign the defender when the transfer window opens.

It would be wrong to just flat out reject the French report as inaccurate as we don’t know for sure that it is. However, it does seem highly unlikely, given the state of the world, that Klopp would be calling a player who he knows would almost certainly cost a club-record fee to buy.
Whilst the idea of a Koulibaly and Virgil van Dijk partnership sounds very, very tantalising for Liverpool fans, it seems very unlikely that we’ll get to see it unless Napoli significantly reduce that asking price.
