Swansea City have emerged as the favourites to sign Harry Wilson this week, according to Goal‘s Neil Jones.
The 23-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Liverpool this season – he has yet to feature once in the Premier League – with a loan move expected before Friday’s EFL transfer deadline.
A host of Championship clubs have been linked with acquiring Wilson signature, but Swansea now appear to be the front-runners.
Derby Country are revealed as another ‘strong contender’, while it is mentioned that selling Wilson permanently has been Liverpool’s preferred option, but that they are now willing to make his exit temporary.

Sad though it may be to accept, Wilson must realise that his time with the Reds is nearing its conclusion. At 23, he has still only started one game for the club and this latest development is further proof that he is well down the pecking order.
The Wales international is a perfectly good player in his own right, but he is not at the level required to be playing regularly for the reigning world and Premier League champions.
Dioga Jota is a far more proven player at the top level, excelling for a strong Wolves side before joining Liverpool, yet he still finds himself as a backup.
A move back to the Championship does feel like a step down for Wilson, however, considering he fared well at Bournemouth last season, scoring seven times in the Premier League.
Playing week in, week out remains the most important thing, though – something Wilson should be guaranteed at Swansea.
