Liverpool fans urge Reds to sign Dominik Szoboszlai after international brilliance

Some Liverpool supporters are absolutely desperate to sign reported Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai following his international heroics on Thursday night.

The 20-year-old is seen as one of the most exciting emerging players in Europe currently, starring for RB Salzburg.

On Thursday, Szoboszlai was in action for Hungary in a crucial make-or-break Euro 2020 playoff at home to Iceland. It looked as though the hosts were going to fail to qualify for next summer’s tournament as they trailed 0-1 in the closing stages.

Loic Nego equalised with the minutes ebbing away, however, before Szoboszlai became a national hero. The Salzburg star produced a dazzling run on the counter-attack, bursting away from defenders and showing great close control before firing low into the bottom corner to send his nation into the Euros.

It was just the latest show of brilliance from the prodigiously gifted midfielder, who has been linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal in the past.

Following his superb solo effort, a number of Reds supporters were unsurprisingly excited at the potential prospect of him moving to Anfield in the future, with one fan claiming that the youngster has “something special in him”.

Here are some of the reactions from Twitter after his heroics for Hungary:
