Harvey Elliott called “sensational” after latest Blackburn masterclass

Harvey Elliott has been described as “sensational”, following his latest star showing for Blackburn Rovers.

The 17-year-old sealed to a loan move to Blackburn during the summer transfer window, with first team options at Liverpool appearing limited.

The Championship can be a tough league to adjust to for young players, given its physicality, but Elliott has been a revelation so far.

The forward already has two goals and four assists for Blackburn this season, helping them sit 10th in the table.

On Wednesday night, despite his side losing 1-0 away to Bristol City, Elliott was again fantastic.

According to BA Analytics on Twitter, the teenager was “sensational”, having five shot assists overall, as well as saying he is “levels above” the Championship:

One Liverpool fan, Matt (@ElNino9Aleyenda), revealed Elliott’s statistics for the game, which were equally impressive:

Elliott really does look like a special talent, and while some fail to kick on and reach their potential, the early signs are incredibly promising.

The former Fulham youngster possesses a wand of a left foot, drifting inside from the right-hand side, and he is producing end product at the same time.

If he can continue to shine for Blackburn, there is no reason why he can’t return to Liverpool and be a genuine squad option next season, potentially replacing Xherdan Shaqiri, who is likely to move on.
