Liverpool will be looking to right the wrongs of Sunday’s turgid second-half performance with immediate effect tonight when they head to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.
The Reds were looking to go five points clear at the top of the table at the weekend before Jurgen Klopp‘s side took their foot off the gas and seemed to exit the car completely to allow West Brom back into the match.
Newcastle have lost three of their last four games going into this fixture, and despite coming under fire over his conservative style of play, Steve Bruce has done a relatively steady job of staving off any relegation fears.
With Liverpool still top of the table, owing to some favourable results elsewhere in recent days, Klopp’s men will be desperate to get back to business at St James’ Park in a fixture which has produced some all-time Premier League classics down the years.
