Liverpool fans can’t explain why Minamino has been frozen out by Klopp

Some Liverpool fans have been left perplexed by Jurgen Klopp’s treatment of Takumi Minamino, as the Japanese failed to feature again at the weekend.

The Reds were held to a forgettable 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United on Sunday, as they failed to spark in the final third.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were all far from their best at Anfield, and as the minutes ticked by, some inspiration from the substitutes’ bench was required.

Klopp had the chance to bring on Minamino, but instead opted for Curtis Jones, Divock Origi and James Milner.

The 25-year-old has been curiously absent since the 7-0 win away to Crystal Palace on December 19th, when he opened the scoring and generally played well.

He has failed to play a minute in the league in the four games that have followed, in a strange turn of events.

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter after the United draw to speak of their bemusement at the situation.
