Liverpool and Man United monitoring situation of wonderkid Jamal Musiala

Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich teenager Jamal Musiala, according to Goal.

The 17-year-old wonderkid joined the Bundesliga giants from Chelsea in 2019 and has made 13 appearances in the league this season. Such is his potential, Musiala is now demanding an eye-watering £100,000-a-week contract at Bayern, but talks with the club are ‘deadlocked’.

It is stated that Liverpool, United and Manchester City are keeping a close eye on proceedings, suggesting they are weighing up a potential move. Musiala only has 17 months left on his current contract, so he could leave in the summer if a new deal isn’t signed.

To already be a reliable squad player for a club like Bayern, at just 17 years of age, says all you need to know about Musiala’s ability. The midfielder is clearly a special prospect and it would be exciting to see Liverpool snap him up.

In three Champions League appearances this season, Musiala has averaged a 94.5% pass completion rate, highlighting how comfortable he is in possession and how he could thrive under Jurgen Klopp.

It is also worth noting that he has chipped in with three goals in the Bundesliga, despite only making two starts, suggesting he could add firepower from midfield – something the Reds often lack.
