Leicester City star James Maddison has joked that his side have a “nice easy one” against Liverpool this weekend.
The Reds head to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, looking to improve their poor recent form.
Back-to-back defeats at home to Brighton and Manchester City have left the Premier League champions sitting fourth in the table, one place and three points adrift of the Foxes.
Speaking to Leicester’s official website ahead of the weekend action, Maddison made a lighthearted quip about Liverpool:
It’s a nice easy one at the weekend! I’ve heard people say it’s probably a good time to play Liverpool.
They’ve got a fantastic team still. I know they were beaten by Man City 4-1, but they’ve still got a top team and they’ve still got a fit squad, apart from the centre-halves.
They’ve got a full attacking line, midfielders and the goalkeeper.

Maddison comes across as a hugely likeable player, both on and off the pitch, but Liverpool will have to be wary of him on Saturday.
The England international is having an impressive season, scoring six goals and registering five assists in the league, and his creativity and goal threat alongside the likes of Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy will provide the Reds’ defence with a huge test.
It will be interesting to see who Jurgen Klopp plays at the back, with Ozan Kabak potentially making his Liverpool debut, most likely alongside Fabinho, allowing Jordan Henderson to push into midfield.
