Sir Alex Ferguson praises Andy Robertson’s ‘unbelievable’ form over the last two years

This season hasn’t been the most positive for Liverpool in their attempt to retain the Premier League title.

The Reds’ form this season has been up and down and sees them sat in seventh place in the table.

Not only this, but the recent drama surrounding the proposed Super League has taken a real toll on the clubs credibility.

However, there has still been plenty of positives this season for us to pick out.

One that maybe fans hadn’t paid much attention too is the consistency and effort from Scottish left-back Andy Robertson.

So much so, that even former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the players performances…

To receive praise from a former rival such as that must be a real boost in confidence for Robertson.

Despite Liverpool’s season not quite reaching the heights that fans initially thought, Robertson has been consistent.

The 27-year-old has played almost every game for the club over the last two seasons and has impressed throughout.

Considering that Kostas Tsimikas was signed at the start of the season allow some rest for Robertson, it has been the opposite.

Tsimikas is yet to start a Premier League game for the club whilst the Scotsman continues to power on.

This just goes to show how good of a player Robertson is and that he is clearly very hard to dislodge out of the starting eleven.

For Ferguson to realise this and even speak about it openly about a player for a rival club is a real compliment.
