Much maligned Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has spent the entire 2020/21 campaign playing in Germany for Union Berlin.
Having received plenty of criticism following what was an all too forgettable showing in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, the German stopper has been sent out on loan ever since.
This current spell follows a bizarre stint with Turkish club Besiktas – ending on unamicable terms.
Ahead of what will likely be a temporary return to Anfield only, the 27-year-old has been showing off his physique on Instagram (as cited by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter).

Karius has played just four times in the Bundesliga this season for Berlin, who currently sit eighth in the table and remain within an outside shot of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

On the face of things, the one time German Under 21 international certainly looks ready to make a go of things at Liverpool once again.
But, having endured two difficult loan spells away from the club, it seems highly unlikely Jurgen Klopp will see a place in the squad for Karius.
Under contract until 2022, the Reds will surely be looking to take the last opportunity to cash in with a permanent sale this summer.
Back at Anfield, it seems Caoimhín Kelleher will be the chosen understudy to Alisson Becker moving forwards.
