Liverpool target Donyell Malen is reportedly set to leave PSV Eindhoven in the next fortnight.
Despite being linked with the Reds in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp hopes to make additions to the attacking ranks at Anfield, it’s Borussia Dortmund who are believed to be winning the race as things stand.
The 22-year-old further a burgeoning reputation with a host of fine displays at Euro 2020 before the Netherlands were eliminated by the Czech Republic.
According to a report from Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, as cited by Liverpool FC News on Twitter, a deal for the pacey forward could be in the offing.

The report claims the Eredivisie club expect Malen to leave before July 21, with previous reports suggesting a fee in the region of £22million could capture the signature.
Described as a ‘real threat’ by Paul Robinson, the 13 times capped Dutchman scored 25 goals and registered another nine assists in 43 appearances last season.

Albeit predominantly operating as a centre-forward, the £27million valued ace is capable of playing on either wing – versatility that will endear Klopp to the signing.
Holding a host of key attacking attributes, including strong finishing, dribbling and passing ability (WhoScored), in many ways Malen looks to be the ideal candidate to strengthen the attacking options at Anfield.
Whilst beating Dortmund to the signing won’t be easy, especially given the Bundesliga club’s sudden influx of money, Kopites should hope for an imminent Merseyside arrival.
