The summer transfer window is in full swing and it appears as though Liverpool are prepared to make their mark.
So far, the club has already completed the signing of Ibrahima Konaté from RB Leipzig for £36million.
Not only that, but departures in the form of Georginio Wijnaldum and Liam Millar have also left holes in the squad.
Plenty of rumours have been mentioned linking the Reds to a number of players across Europe.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are now holding out on a potential move for Saúl Ñíguez.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder had been linked with the club over the last few weeks over a €40m deal.
Now, it seems as though the Reds are waiting to see how the situation may progress…
As cited by LFC Transfer Room above, it appears as though the club are waiting on midfield options in favour of a forward.
The Reds have been looking at strengthening their attacking options after last seasons difficult run.
Over the last three campaigns, the club has relied heavily on the talents of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, and Roberto Firmino.
Portuguese forward Diogo Jota was brought in last summer to ease the load and he certainly did so.
Recent links have suggested that this forward could come in the form of Adama Traoré or Domenico Berardi.
Spanish winger Traoré has been a player on the club’s radar for some time, whilst Berardi has dreamt of a move to the club for some time now.
Another addition to the club’s attack makes perfect sense and hopefully it will be an exciting new signing.
