This summer saw Liverpool only make one signing in the form of French centre-back Ibrahima Konaté.
Despite a number of rumours and links to an abundance of players, the club never furthered their interest.
One position that needed to be addressed was in attack, with Liverpool lacking quality in depth.
A player that the club had reportedly been interested in was Zambian striker Patson Daka.
Following an impressive 34-goal season for RB Salzburg, Daka became a target for a number of top clubs.
However, the club missed out, with the 22-year-old joining Leicester City for £27million.

As cited by Anfield Watch above, Liverpool were relying on the sales of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi.
The pair were not subjected to moves until late on in the window, with Shaqiri only securing a move to Lyon in the last few days of the window.
Not only that but Origi never secured away either, with the Belgium forward still on the books at the club.
Of course, the pair were not transfer-listed by the club but if they were to be sold the Reds had plans to replace them.
Those plans came in the form of Daka, who would have provided incredible depth to Liverpool’s attacking options.
Unluckily for the club, those moves for Shaqiri and Origi never materialised, meaning they never bid for Daka.
Despite the lack of signings this summer, there is no denying that our squad is still just as good as our Premier League winning season.
