Liverpool’s 34-goal striker target available for just £17m ‘keen on move’ according to reports

The transfer window has only been open for six days but Liverpool have already been heavily involved.

Reds fans have already seen the confirmation of the signing of Ibrahima Konaté and departure of Gini Wijnaldum.

This has led to plenty more rumours over the possible ingoings and outgoings of Liverpool this summer.

One of those outgoings is Belgium striker Divock Origi, who is expected to leave the club in the coming months.

This will mean a replacement will be needed, with RB Salzburg’s Patson Daka heavily linked with the Reds.

The Zambian striker had been rumoured to be joining the club over the last few weeks, with further updates coming out.

According to Football Insider, Daka is keen to join Liverpool this summer, after rejecting approaches from West Ham and AS Monaco.

The report also eludes that the Reds have contacted Salzburg to see what it would cost to bring Daka to Anfield.

It states that only £17million would be needed to secure the signing of the 22-year-old, which is a steal for his quality.

Last season, Daka managed 34 goals in all competitions for the Austrian club, after just 42 appearances.

One thing that is even more impressive about Daka’s record is that he only started 66% of the clubs games.

27 league goals in 28 games is an incredible output and clearly shows the strikers quality across the board.

Whether the club opt to sign him this window is unknown but given his price and age, it seems like a realistic move.

The club are known for signing young players with plenty of potential, and Daka perfectly fits that bill.

If the Reds do manage to secure the striker, then he could become a great addition for Jurgen Klopp and his squad.

matchday.
