Former Premier League striker Kevin Phillips has tipped Wolves speedster Adama Traore to ‘jump’ at the chance to join Liverpool.
The Reds have long since been linked with a move for the 25-year-old and recently it was reported the Midlands club could slash the asking price for the winger.
Jurgen Klopp has previously spoken glowing of the Spaniard’s threat and as the German manager seeks attacking reinforcements, Traore could be under consideration.
Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips suggested that the flying ace would relish the opportunity to move to Merseyside.
I think that deal will happen. Traore would jump at the chance to join Liverpool. You do not turn that opportunity down, even if you are going to sit on the bench a little bit. Traore has been at Wolves a while now. From Liverpool’s point of view, £20million is a good price for player who can hurt teams from the bench. He is what he is though, he can also frustrate the hell out of you. As an impact player I think he’d be a good signing though. I think for £20million it is a good deal all round.
So far this season Traore has earned an impressive 7.11 average Sofascore rating from 14 league outings despite failing to directly contribute to a goal.

Signing the eight-cap Spain star would certainly add a whole new dimension to Klopp’s attacking ranks.
Almost unstoppable in full-flow, with the correct guidance and coaching, Traore could be a lethal weapon for any side in world football.
As an impact substitute to play alongside the likes of Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, the £27million valued man would be a fearsome sight for every defender on the planet.
