Valued at £7.2million and under contract at Anfield until 2025 (Transfermarkt), the Reds are in a strong position when it comes to the future of the Bolton-born defender.
Klopp will have to weigh up the options at his disposal having recently praised Phillips for staying on for the first half of the campaign.
Unlikely to push up the pecking order on Merseyside, should the Englishman leave for the betterment of his own career Liverpool will want to receive the maximum possible fee.
