Mohamed Salah called time on his Liverpool career earlier this summer as he decided to move on after nine decorated years at Anfield.
The Egyptian maestro fell out with Arne Slot and never really recovered since, as he endured his first sub-par season as a Liverpool player.
Salah’s next destination isn’t set in stone yet as he was focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with Egypt.
But now, one of the biggest TV stations in Egypt have made a bombshell claim on his future that will really sting Liverpool fans across the world.
Mohamed Salah open to Chelsea return
Salah got his first taste of Premier League football with Chelsea but quickly fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge as they boasted an embarrassment of riches in attack at the time.
He was loaned out to Fiorentina and later moved to Roma, where he made a name for himself as one of the most potent attackers in world football before earning a move to Liverpool.
Salah is now a free agent and has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and the MLS.
However, On Time Sports claim that he is open to rejoining Chelsea and is the only Premier League club he’d consider playing for, presumably due to his previous affiliation with the Blues.
As seen in the video above, Ahmed Darwish is the person making the claim. He also goes on to add that Juventus want to sign him, while three Turkish clubs are also in the race as things stand.
“This [Chelsea] is the only club in the English league—if it made him an offer, he would stay in the Premier League,” said Darwish.
“He has 3 offers in the Turkish league. Saudi offers are not the highest. And the Juventus coach wants to sign him. He has 3 offers in the Turkish league.”
“The Saudi offers are not the highest.”

We’re not claiming to have an insider scoop, but this is a non-starter, or at least, we’re hoping that’s the case.
Salah has said several times that Liverpool is the club of his life and is one of the greatest players in the club’s history.
He has already achieved everything he needs to in the Premier League and decided to move on to take on another challenge.
Considering all the aforementioned factors, we can’t see him risking his legacy to return to Chelsea, especially with the club in a state of turmoil over the past few seasons.
That said, it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up, as, judging by the Egyptian media’s claims, he won’t be short of suitors.
