Manchester City have entered the race for Liverpool target Yan Diomande.
The RB Leipzig winger has been one of the hottest targets throughout Europe with the German club rejecting a €100m bid from Real Madrid yesterday.
Who is Yan Diomande?
Born in Abidjan in November 2006, Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé spent his youth at Florida’s DME Academy before joining Spanish side CD Leganés in early 2025. After scoring twice in La Liga, he earned a €20 million transfer to Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in July 2025.
Diomandé enjoyed a breakout 2025–26 campaign in Germany, recording 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances to help Leipzig reach the Champions League. Notably, he netted a hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt in December 2025, becoming the second-youngest hat-trick scorer in Bundesliga history. His stellar form earned him April 2026 Player of the Month and the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.
Internationally, Diomandé made his Ivory Coast senior debut in late 2025. He later featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, recording an assist against Curaçao and becoming the nation’s youngest-ever player to compete in a World Cup match for the national team.
