Bayern Munich are still keen on signing Timo Werner this summer, according to Kicker.
The 24-year-old has arguably been the player most strongly linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, with reports continually stating he could head to Anfield.
Bayern are also eyeing him up, however, with doubts thought to be creeping in over their pursuit of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
The Bundesliga giants see Werner as a strong alternative, with the RB Leipzig striker bagging 27 goals this season.

This update is clearly worrying from a Liverpool perspective, given the pull that Bayern have with German players.
They have so often snapped up the best homegrown talent down the years, whether it be Michael Ballack, Mario Gotze or Mats Hummels, to name just a few.
There is a threat that Werner’s head could be turned by Bayern’s interest, although he has publicly stated his admiration for Liverpool.
The hope is that the lure of Jurgen Klopp and the Reds’ status as the world’s best club side still makes them the most appealing proposition.
Werner’s £53 million release clause is too appealing not to trigger considering his pedigree – he is the youngest player to make 100, 150 and 200 appearances in the Bundesliga – and I still believe Liverpool have a good chance of securing Werner’s services in the coming weeks and months.
