Liverpool striker Danny Ings is likely to miss the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL in training, as reported by the BBC.
Ings is the second Liverpool player to suffer an ACL injury in the last few days after Joe Gomez was ruled out with the same injury.
The news comes as a huge blow for Ings, who made his international debut for England earlier this week as he came off the bench against Lithuania.
The striker was quickly becoming a fan favourite at Anfield, a reputation boosted after his goal in the Merseyside Derby.

Liverpool have not had much luck in terms of keeping their strikers fit this season. Daniel Sturridge is back after a long lay-off, but will need to be carefully managed.
Meanwhile, Christian Benteke has also been out injured. Despite being back in training, the Belgian is not yet ready to get back into action – meaning Sturridge and Divock Origi are the only fit first-team strikers available to Jurgen Klopp ahead of this weekend’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
