Former Liverpool midfielder Jimmy Case did not hold back in his criticism of Emre Can after the Reds lost 3-0 to Watford at the weekend.
Liverpool were well beaten by the newly promoted side, and speaking on the BBC’s Radio Five Live broadcast, Case was not shy about giving his true thoughts about the German international.
He said:
It was Can’s fault yet again – he lost possession in the build-up to the goal and he nearly cost Liverpool earlier. He went racing over the far side like a bull in a china shop. I don’t understand what he does in the middle – he doesn’t dominate, he doesn’t pass well and he has no vision.
Liverpool’s recent run of form in the league has been worrying. If not for a late deflected strike from Divock Origi against West Brom, Jurgen Klopp’s men could well have lost three games on the spin against sides they are very much expected to beat.

The loss to Watford was a real low-point in Liverpool’s season and things won’t get much easier when top-of-the-table Leicester City travel to Anfield on Boxing Day.
If Klopp wasn’t aware of the size of the task he had taken on, the last few weeks will have made him realise how much work is needed to get the Reds regularly competing at the top of the table.
