Liverpool finally benefitted from playing an unlucky team at a self-destructing moment for a change. Instead of being on the end of a ruthless opponent as they piled on the pressure after Liverpool conceded, the Reds kicked on with energy and graft to snatch a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
While the visitors began the match in a battling mood, they once again dominated possession but could not make it count in the first half. In fact, Crystal Palace had the better chances in the opening 45, despite lacking the ball for most of the half. With the Eagles content to play on the counter and Liverpool looking to push proceedings, at times the first half was frantic.
The second half would prove there was a considerable twist in this tale. For the first time in club history, Liverpool managed to overcome being a goal down with a man down to earn a victory. The Klopp effect is finally taking deep root and Liverpool look energised to fight for the full 90.
Here are four findings from the match.
