Liverpool rocked Manchester City 1-4 at the Etihad in easily their best performance since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival.
The Reds benefitted from some early luck when City defender Eliaquim Mangala put the ball in his own net.
Yet, Liverpool fed off the fortune, using it as a springboard for an even more aggressive attacking display. Pressing the home side with industry and determination, the Reds repeatedly shredded City’s backline with a swirling, synchronous front three of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, and Adam Lallana.
Liverpool counter-attacked with pace and precision and could easily have scored more if not for a strong performance by Joe Hart in goal.
Here are four findings from the match.
