Four Findings: Reflecting on Liverpool’s 2015

As the calendar year closes it is easy to look back on Liverpool with a “Ground Hog Day” disposition.

At this time last year, the Reds were in almost identical form. They sat eighth in the table, with 28 points, and rode two wins into the new year. Four points separated them from the top four.

This year they find themselves in seventh, with 30 points and again carry two festive period victories into London to face West Ham, five points off the money.

It is hard not to recognise the deja vu. Yet, the major change and greatest cause for hope is Jurgen Klopp.

While Brendan Rodgers found himself at the precipice of his unraveling, Klopp is still in the midst of a new dawn. And in spite of all the obstacles, the future looks bright.

Here are four findings from 2015.
