Four Findings: Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Liverpool

The Jurgen Klopp era of Liverpool Football Club has officially begun. While White Hart Lane has been a veritable feasting ground for the Reds recently, the new boss has to feel that drawing 0-0 against Tottenham away in his first match was a decent result, all things considered.

What has to be encouraging for Liverpool supporters was seeing a clearly re-energised side that hurried and hustled the opposition in a way that has been absent for more months than they might like to admit.

Liverpool decidedly put in a shift against Spurs and were unlucky to not force an early goal.

Divock Origi’s first half header came back off the woodwork, from crossbar to pitch, with no one able to slam it across the goal line. Yet, that was the only truly great chance for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Spurs grew into the game as the Reds high octane play meant energy began to fade. It all made for a fairly even affair which lacked a glint of genuine quality.

Here are my four findings from the match.
