Once again Liverpool missed an opportunity to make up ground on those teams above them in the table. Instead of capitalising on the poor form of the sides around them, they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Vicarage Road to an in-form Watford, in what has to be the lowest point since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival.
The Reds found themselves behind early and never recovered as Watford hustled, harried and hammered the visitors all over the pitch in a horror show.
Liverpool looked slow and spineless as the Hornets swarmed, pouncing on errors and outplaying the Reds in every department.
