Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum has dropped a potentially huge hint about his future at the club, with the midfielder seemingly revealed he’s extended his contract with the club.
In a video from LFC Day Trippers, Wijnaldum is seemingly overheard telling fellow Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson that “I extended”, potentially revealing he has, in fact, signed a new deal with the club.

Wijnaldum’s current deal at the club runs until 2021, as per Transfermarkt, meaning that he only has a year left on his current contract at Anfield.

There had been growing concerns that Wijnaldum would leave the club at the expiration of his contract. But, if the Dutchman has indeed extended his contract, then we think this is superb news for Liverpool.
The midfielder has made 30 competitive outings so far this campaign, and, despite being 29-years-old, has not slowed down at all for the dominant Reds.
Some would have concerns over offering a player of his age a new deal, but, considering how important Wijnaldum has been for Jurgen Klopp’s side as of late, this could be seen as an almost mandatory move from the German to keep his current crop together.
