Ibe sidelined with hamstring injury

Jordon Ibe is the latest Liverpool player to sustain a hamstring injury as the Reds’ squad becomes more depleted by the day, as per the Liverpool Echo.

The 20-year-old, who scored Liverpool’s winner in their 1-0 win over Stoke City in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg on Tuesday night, will miss the trip to Exeter City, but the club are unsure whether he will be back in time for the visits of Arsenal and Manchester United next Wednesday and Sunday respectively.

Martin Skrtel, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Rossiter, Divock Origi, and Jordan Henderson are all currently out with hamstring injuries. Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren added to the list of Reds with an injury to the same muscle in the win at the Britannia Stadium.

Kolo Toure is also out of action after suffering cramp at Stoke, while Mamadou Sakho, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez have knee problems.

Jurgen Klopp’s options are thin on the ground now, and with important league games against Arsenal and Manchester United around the corner, it will be a struggle for the Reds to maintain their bid for a top four place.
