Klopp and Liverpool are a perfect match, says PL manager

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has spoken about Liverpool’s decision to sack former boss Brendan Rodgers and replace him with German Jurgen Klopp.

Bilic, whose West Ham side humiliated Rodgers’ Liverpool side by defeating them 3-0 at Anfield earlier in the season, says he feels sorry for the Northern Irishman and explained the difficulties and pressure that come with managing in the Premier League.

Writing in his column for The Evening Standard, the Croat said:

Jurgen Klopp plays his first game in England tomorrow but I want to say how sorry I feel for Brendan Rodgers. People say he is on big wages and it is a well-paid job but it doesn’t make you less human. It is hard to cope with pressure from the modern media when every fan who wants to spend 10 minutes a day behind a computer is like a journalist. They voice opinions and opinions nowadays are mostly negative. People forget how good they were two years ago. I know it is part of the job and comes with the territory but I feel bad for him.

Bilic also spoke about the Reds’ new boss Jurgen Klopp and said that the former Borussia Dortmund manager is the perfect man to get Liverpool back on track, and says that the key to success will be improving Liverpool’s home form, which can be described as sketchy at best so far this season.

Liverpool and Klopp looks like a perfect match. They needed Klopp to wake up the extra qualities they have: the fan base, the energy, Anfield becoming a fortress again. It is great to have him in the Premier League.

Bilic also urged both Liverpool Football Club and the fan base to remember all the good that Brendan Rodgers did for them.

Liverpool are a special club, a cult club and sing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. They should not forget Brendan is walking alone now.
